Naomi Judd died from self-inflicted gunshot wound, daughter says
Naomi Judd died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to daughter Ashley Judd.
Ashley appeared Wednesday on "Good Morning America" to speak out about her mother's death.
"She used a weapon⦠my mother used a firearm," Ashley said. "So thatās the piece of information that we are very uncomfortable sharing, but understand that weāre in a position that if we donāt say it someone else is going to."
Ashley explained she was tapped to share the cause of death news with the world by the family in order to shed light on mental illness.
She also spoke about how Naomi was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
"Our mother couldnāt hang on until she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by her peers," she said. "That is the level of catastrophe of what was going on inside of her, because the barrier between the regard in which they held her couldnāt penetrate into her heart, and the lie the disease told her was so convincing."
Ashley also revealed details of Naomi's final day in Tennessee.
"It was a mixed day," the actress explained. "I visit with my mom and pop every day when Iām home in Tennessee, so I was at the house visiting as I am every day. Mom said to me, āWill you stay with me?ā and I said, āOf course I will.ā⦠I went upstairs to let her know that her good friend was there and I discovered her. I have both grief and trauma from discovering her."
Ashley and Wynonna announced their mother's death via a statement shared to social media.
Just weeks before her death, Naomi and daughter Wynonna reunited at the CMA Awards for a performance. The duo also announced they were going back on tour for the first time in 10 years.

I will have less of a presence on The Torrid Tribe Community. We have very little activity here. This is a sign to me that members have found other social media resources that they are spending more time in. I am happy to see less censorship on social media in general. I started The Torrid Tribe 4 years ago when we were in a state of censorship and lockdowns. It was a difficult time and this was a haven and sanctuary for so many.
I will be lightly posting things here to give you all content to see. This community will always be open to everyone and will resurrect to its full capacity if subscribers show they want it fully operational again with full time administration.
Thank you for being a part of this community. Sending each of you hugs.

Swalwellās āBig Revealā for Governor: Flashing His Ambitions (and Everything Else)
Eric Swalwell just gave California voters the ultimate campaign stunt ā and itās not the one he planned. Multiple former female staffers have now come forward with explosive accusations of sexual misconduct and assault, including one who says he raped her while she was too intoxicated to consent.
The Democrat front-runner for California governor is watching his campaign collapse faster than his hairline on a bad day. Even his own allies are yanking endorsements left and right while Rep. Anna Paulina Luna drops a motion to straight-up expel him from Congress. Classy as always, Eric. But wait ā thereās more! Because no Swalwell scandal is complete without a little Chinese spy seasoning. The FBI is still circling the long-buried āFang Fang filesā ā you know, the ones about the suspected Chinese intelligence operative he was reportedly getting way too cozy with back in the day.
