I will have less of a presence on The Torrid Tribe Community. We have very little activity here. This is a sign to me that members have found other social media resources that they are spending more time in. I am happy to see less censorship on social media in general. I started The Torrid Tribe 4 years ago when we were in a state of censorship and lockdowns. It was a difficult time and this was a haven and sanctuary for so many.

I will be lightly posting things here to give you all content to see. This community will always be open to everyone and will resurrect to its full capacity if subscribers show they want it fully operational again with full time administration.

Thank you for being a part of this community. Sending each of you hugs.

In May 2013, Harrison Odjegba Okene, a 29-year-old Nigerian cook, was working aboard the tugboat Jascon-4 when a sudden Atlantic storm capsized the vessel off the coast of Nigeria. The boat sank 30 meters (about 100 feet) beneath the surface, k-lling all 11 other crew members instantly. But by a miracle of physics, and sheer luck, an air pocket formed inside the ship’s bathroom, where Okene found himself trapped.

For 60 terrifying hours, he survived in complete darkness, half-submerged in freezing water, sustained only by a single bottle of Coca-Cola and the small bubble of oxygen keeping him alive. He recited psalms, prayed aloud, and listened as sharks circled the wreck outside.

When a diving crew finally located the ship, they expected to recover bodies — not find a man still breathing. Video footage from the rescue shows the diver’s shock as Okene’s ...
