Alfalfa was Shot to Death by a Friend Over $50
Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer, best known for his role as Alfalfa in the "Our Gang", also known as "The Little Rascals" comedy shorts. Alfalfa, was one of the series' most popular and best-remembered characters. After leaving the series in 1940, Switzer struggled to find substantial roles owing to typecasting. As an adult, he appeared mainly in bit parts and B-movies. He later became a dog breeder and hunting guide. He was shot to death by his long-time friend and sometimes business partner, Moses Samuel "Bud" Stiltz on January 21, 1959. Switzer agreed to train Stiltz dog, but the dog ran off to chase after a bear and never returned. Stiltz demanded Switzer pay him the value of the dog, so Switzer put out a reward. The dog was eventually found and returned and Switzler paid the finders fee and was now out $50. Because it was not his dog, he felt the dog owner should reimburse him the $50. Because Stiltz would not pay it, on the evening of January 21, 1959 Switzler and another friend went to Stiltz house at 10401 Columbus Ave Los Angeles, CA to demanded the $50. At some point Switzer smashed a glass clock on Stiltz'z head, then causing Stiltz to retrieve his 38-calibur revolver. Switzer struggled to take it from him and during the altercation the gun went off and almost shot Stiltz's son. Switzer then brandished a knife and threatened to kill Stiltz. Long story short, Stiltz shot Switzer in the groin; the bullet hit a main artery and he died at the scene. Authorities decided the shooting was in self-defense.

I will have less of a presence on The Torrid Tribe Community. We have very little activity here. This is a sign to me that members have found other social media resources that they are spending more time in. I am happy to see less censorship on social media in general. I started The Torrid Tribe 4 years ago when we were in a state of censorship and lockdowns. It was a difficult time and this was a haven and sanctuary for so many.
I will be lightly posting things here to give you all content to see. This community will always be open to everyone and will resurrect to its full capacity if subscribers show they want it fully operational again with full time administration.
Thank you for being a part of this community. Sending each of you hugs.
