As a further update to my previous pieces on Victor Davis Hanson - one of the most brilliant minds of our time, whose insights have shaped my views - I'm grateful for his wisdom and resilience amid his recent health challenges.
Sources close to Victor confirm that he is home recovering well from his successful surgery on December 30, 2025, at Stanford Medical Center, where a large mucinous adenoma carcinoma tumor was removed from his lung, along with his right lower lobe. This followed a nearly year-long ordeal starting with a flu in March 2025, complicated by misdiagnoses including possible pneumonia, long COVID, or valley fever. The cancer, rare in non-smokers and genetically driven, proved aggressive but showed no signs of metastasis in lymph nodes or full-body scans.
While the initial procedure went well, a post-surgical arterial bleed required an emergency second surgery and transfusions. Victor is now managing recovery effects such as anemia, atrial fibrillation (AFIB), fatigue, and weakness from blood loss and prolonged anesthesia. He plans to rebuild his strength and may pursue prophylactic chemotherapy or immunotherapy to prevent recurrence.
In good spirits, clear-minded, thankful, and resilient, Victor expresses deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and looks forward to returning to his work soon. This is encouraging news, underscoring his determination and strength - and a reminder that your prayers are undoubtedly helpful in his ongoing recovery. Please continue lifting him up in prayer.

I will have less of a presence on The Torrid Tribe Community. We have very little activity here. This is a sign to me that members have found other social media resources that they are spending more time in. I am happy to see less censorship on social media in general. I started The Torrid Tribe 4 years ago when we were in a state of censorship and lockdowns. It was a difficult time and this was a haven and sanctuary for so many.
I will be lightly posting things here to give you all content to see. This community will always be open to everyone and will resurrect to its full capacity if subscribers show they want it fully operational again with full time administration.
