More than 2,500 people were baptized in the Atlantic Ocean at Hanna Park in Jacksonville, Florida, during The Church of Eleven22’s annual Beach Baptism. Reports say 2,552 people publicly declared their faith in Jesus, while more than 14,000 people gathered along the shoreline for worship, prayer, and celebration.
The church said each baptism represented someone renouncing their past, pledging allegiance to Christ, and declaring that Jesus is Lord. The event has continued growing each year, with nearly 2,000 baptized in 2025 and more than 1,600 in 2024. One of the final baptisms reportedly involved a shuttle bus driver who was moved by what he witnessed.
For Christians, this is a powerful sign that the gospel is still changing lives. Baptism does not save a person, but it publicly shows that someone has been united with Christ in death and raised to walk in new life. In a culture often called spiritually cold, moments like this remind believers that God is still moving.

I will have less of a presence on The Torrid Tribe Community. We have very little activity here. This is a sign to me that members have found other social media resources that they are spending more time in. I am happy to see less censorship on social media in general. I started The Torrid Tribe 4 years ago when we were in a state of censorship and lockdowns. It was a difficult time and this was a haven and sanctuary for so many.
